With the skimpy little pieces of clothing that pass off as swimsuits these days, it’s safe to say that the beach g string has indeed come a long way. Right now it might be hard for the current generation to realize that when the original bikini came out in 1946, it was considered too revealing!
Of course, that bikini was downright prudish compared to today’s typical beach g string. Besides, the word “bikini” itself is derived from a French island where nuclear tests had recently been held. The creators of the bikini (justly) thought that their creation would have the same ripple effect as the atomic bombs tested on these islands. And they were right!
The beach g string is but one of the many subcategories of swimsuits, but what makes it so popular is that it’s the most revealing. The beach g string is one of the fastest selling swimsuit styles among women today. It originated from Brazil in the 70’s and now has many other variants:
The “Traditional” Beach G String. It’s the original concept of a triangular patch in the front, held by two strings: one that goes up between the butt cheeks, and another around the hips. Pretty revealing, but nothing really scandalous.
Microminimus Beach G String. This is probably the tiniest swimsuit you can wear and still be (legally) dressed. They probably reveal more than they conceal. Wicked Weasel is famous for bringing this design to prominence.
See-Thru Beach G String. When wet, this particular style of beach g string leaves very little to the imagination. You might as well be naked, but technically, you’re not…
Mesh Beach G String. The nature of this material makes it naturally see-thru. It lets people pretty much guess what’s underneath. Some are not only sheer, but also have multiple tiny eyelets… Guarantees LOADS of attention…
Should I mention the crotchless beach g string? Most likely, the only place you’ll be able to get away with it would be a nudist beach. The irony would be that you’d look conservative (at first sight) when wearing it J
All in all, when it comes to wearing a beach g string, one thing you have to keep in mind is that you do need self-confidence to rock one of these outfits. Otherwise you’ll chicken out!
